Tackle those new years resolutions

A lot of people set goals for the new year. I often think that it is easier to pick small goals to start with. The success from completing one goal gives me the sense of accomplishment to move on to other goals.

I find organizing my house to be very relaxing. Each New Year and Spring I make it my goal to get rid of clutter and organize my home. Having a clean well organized home helps improve everyone's mood.

To start I grab several boxes and start with the kids rooms and play areas. Kids collect so much clutter this is always the best place to start. After I go through the kids stuff I hit all the closets and drawers in the house. These areas are the usually the first place to collect clutter. Make sure to dust and vacuum as you go, it makes a huge difference in the stuffiness of your house.

Garages and basements are also popular places for clutter to collect. Mementos are great but if you're like me you find yourself keeping things you forgot why you even did.

Once you have cleared out the clutter and gotten organized you will feel refreshed and ready to tackle your next goal.
